what science ideas did you learn?
i learned how a cell makes protein. when ever the cell needs protein they get a message to make a certain quantity of a specific protein. we also learned about transcription. transcription is m-RNA from DNA. It happens in the nucleus. protein are made of amino acid. Amino acids are very important for this process of making protein. we also learn about DNA also called double helix. the things on the back are called sugar backbones. the things that look like ruds are adanine, cytosine, thymine, and guanine. they form to make base pairs and only A-T can be together and then C-G be together.
How did you learn these ideas?
i learn these ideas by watching the videos of DNA and playing games that show you about RNA and the protein and looking at pictures and the process. we watched this video that was on DNA and showed how it forms and looks like. we spend a lot of time on this with the process and parts.
how does this apply to real life?
this applies to real life because if there is a crime scenes you could identify by DNA who this person is. this can really help in life. if you become a police men or anyone that uses DNA then by this lesson you learned a lot.
